Description

The R-5000 Telemetry Receiver was developed together with Communications Specialists engineering team.

I wrote the receiver's entire firmware, excluding the battery charger exclusive microcontroller firmware.

A complex algorithm to control the fractional PLL chip used in the receiver frequency synthesizer was created. This algorithm allows the Synthesizer to generate any frequency between 90 MHz and 520 MHz in 1Hz steps.

To allow the receiver to be programmed through an USB port a custom Windows GUI software has been designed.
